This notice explains what happens to your details when you use this website. It's written in plain English. If anything isn't clear, email hello@example.com.
Who we are
Hedgerow & Spade is the business responsible for your information (the "data controller").
What we collect
Only what you type into the quote form: your name, phone number, email, postcode, the type of job and your message. If you tick the reminders box, we also record that you said yes.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit and quote for the work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract.
- To send seasonal reminder emails, only if you ticked the box. The legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who else handles it
The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-handling service. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. We don't sell your details or pass them to anyone else for marketing.
The text on this site uses fonts loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google's servers for the font files. Google doesn't set cookies for this.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into a job are deleted after 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep job records for 6 years for tax purposes. Reminder emails stop as soon as you unsubscribe.
Cookies
This site doesn't use any tracking or advertising cookies, and there's no analytics.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
